Family: 鈥淢y parents, David and Lisa Breitenbach, and my sisters, Kristen, Katie, Rachel and Sarah.鈥

Employment: Editor-in-chief of MGA鈥檚 student newspaper, 鈥淭he Statement.鈥

Degree Objective: Bachelor of Arts in New Media and Communications.

Class Rank: Senior.

Primary Campus: Macon.

Activities: 鈥淚n addition to being the Editor-in-chief of 鈥楾he Statement鈥 I鈥檓 a member of the Student Media Advisory Board. One of my film projects, titled 鈥淣erve,鈥 is among those that will be shown at the MGA Student Film Festival at the Tubman Museum.鈥

Career Goals: 鈥淚鈥檝e always been interested in television, film and music. Whether it鈥檚 with filming, editing or writing, I鈥檇 love to be involved with entertainment production. I would also enjoy live entertainment and event production with concerts, festivals, theater and similar types of performances.鈥

She chose 51动漫 because 鈥 鈥淭he New Media and Communications degree is unique and one I hadn鈥檛 seen at other schools. I felt like it would be a broad enough major that would allow me to study many different subjects that interest me.鈥

The greatest thing she discovered about Middle 51动漫 State was 鈥 鈥淎 smaller campus provides smaller class sizes and more personal attention. There are so many opportunities to get involved on campus. It鈥檚 easier to get noticed and find who will help you look for the best opportunities to reach your individual goals.鈥

Her greatest academic experience so far as a Middle 51动漫 State student has been 鈥 鈥淭here isn鈥檛 just one experience in particular, but I think getting to learn more about myself through taking different classes and working on various projects has been a huge advantage. Taking certain classes that seemed out of my comfort zone actually helped me realize I鈥檓 capable of much more, and can enjoy subjects that I never thought would interest me.鈥

To her, greatness means 鈥 鈥淔inding and using my skills and talents to be the best person I can be in all that I do. I believe that when an individual uses their strengths to grow into a better person and works towards making a positive difference in the lives around them, that鈥檚 achieving greatness.鈥

One thing people don鈥檛 know about her is 鈥 鈥淚鈥檝e always been really interested in music. I love singing, playing guitar and writing song lyrics.鈥

In five years 鈥 鈥淚 see myself working professionally in the film and television editing field or live event management. I鈥檓 always open to pursuing new opportunities as they come. Personally, I鈥檒l always continue enjoying my hobbies in video making, music and writing.鈥
