Biography: | Dr. Kembley Lingelbach is an accomplished academic and cybersecurity expert with a wealth of experience spanning over three decades. Holding a Ph.D. in Information Systems Cybersecurity from Nova Southeastern University, Dr. Lingelbach's academic journey began with a Bachelor of Science in Logistics Systems (BSLS) complemented by a minor in Computer Science. Furthering her education, she earned a Master's in Management, Information Systems (MMIS) from 51¶¯Âþ College & State University. Dr. Lingelbach's extensive career background predominantly revolves around her commendable service of over 33 years with the Department of Defense USAF civilian, where she specialized in Information Assurance (Cybersecurity) Management and InfoSec. Her roles also encompassed Information System Security Management, offering her a comprehensive understanding of various facets of IT, including software and web application development, server administration, database administration, and IT project management. Transitioning seamlessly from her distinguished career into academia, Dr. Lingelbach embarked on her teaching journey in 2010, initially as an adjunct while concurrently pursuing her doctoral studies and working with DoD fulltime. Her dedication to education and cybersecurity is further reflected in her numerous certifications, including CISSP, CEH, Security+, and Certified Forensics Examiner, which attest to her expertise in the field. Beyond her professional endeavors, Dr. Lingelbach's research interests are diverse, spanning topics such as cloud computing, AI technology, women in cybersecurity, biometrics, and the human element of cybersecurity. She is particularly fascinated by behavioral aspects and strategies to enhance cybersecurity awareness and resilience. Dr. Lingelbach brings her wealth of knowledge and experience to the classroom, aligning her teachings with her research interests. Her courses delve into business information technologies, decision-making, information assurance, cybersecurity, contingency planning, risk analysis, and system assessments. Dr. Lingelbach's expertise in NIST guidance and her experience with federal government standards enrich her curriculum, providing students with invaluable insights into industry best practices.
